Knowing about the vulnerabilities in your organisation is a key aspect of good security, as they can be exploited by the “Bad Guys” to gain access to your environment. Vulnerability management is so important in fact, that it makes the top 3 recommendations of any security framework, for example, the CIS Control 3: Continuous Vulnerability Management.
Easier said than done, right? You can either buy an expensive scanner and then need to make sense of the outputs, or rely on your third party providers like Microsoft to disclose their vulnerabilities. Analysing the outputs of scanners and tying them back to important assets is time-consuming and cumbersome, and therefore often does not get done properly.
So, how can the SSS VMaaS service help?
Our VMaaS service delivers continuous vulnerability scanning with custom reporting for each client. Through a workshop with you, we will identify your most important assets and rank them accordingly. Once that is done, our software is deployed and will scan your internal and external IPs to identify the vulnerabilities in your environment. Our experts will then produce a weekly report with what we have identified, and recommendations on how to remediate any issues.
Over time we will look at the trends and number of vulnerabilities remediated. This analysis is designed to be informative, but still readable by non-technical people.
