Note that for customers with existing Sophos UTMs – (running the version 9 based OS) – Sophos will be continuing to fully support and develop that for many years to come. For those that wish to migrate to the new Firewall OS on the UTMs, Sophos will be providing tools to automate the migration process for you with the next release of the XG Firewall OS. The new XG Firewall OS runs on the existing SG appliances – the new XG UTM Appliances are exactly the same hardware-wise as the current SG appliances – they are just running the new XG Firewall OS.
